Captain. The planner — provisioning, cooking, and logistics. Keeps the trip fed and on track.

Jason

First Mate. Mister Fix-It — tech, electrical, dishes, and cleanup. The yin to Ricky's yang.

Benny

First Bark. A natural sailor with a soft spot for naps and sweet potato sticks. On watch for wave runners, not dolphins — the Floof, and clearly the most photogenic one aboard.

Florida-based liveaboards aboard S/V Astroknot, our 2018 Lagoon 40 catamaran — the boat hunt is over, and we're working our way south toward the Bahamas and the Exumas. Both of us work remotely from the boat, with our Eskipoo Benny on watch, barking at anyone who doesn't get the memo. We're still big into tech, gaming, good cocktails, and over-engineering whatever project we're currently obsessed with — when we're not knee-deep in one, we're probably mountain biking or messing with LEDs somewhere. We leaned into a space theme for the boat, Astroknot, so a little nerdy fun is baked in. Always happy to meet other cruisers, swap lessons learned, talk gear, or trade favorite anchorages and reef bars.
